Why is my Land Rover Discovery 3 draining so fast?
I have already had two instances of battery drain problems where by the car fails to start on first attempt and you can feel the battery lack of power with the cranking dyeing out. By persisting on the second or third attempt it then starts.
Why does my discovery disco battery keep draining?
BUT when you leave for a 2 week break you might find the battery of the Disco dead. Or when you use a Webasto heater to cope with the arctic temperatures that hit Norway for about 6 months AND make 2 short daily trips only – the battery needs all the charge it can get, no place for a nasty 300 mA constant drain.
Where are 3 battery centres for Land Rover Discovery 3?
3x battery centres (1x Randburg, 1x Kimberly, 1x Port Elizabeth) all where physical onsite testes and reports. Last edited by frozen7days; 2016/05/11 at 09:48 AM . battery drain?
How often should I Charge my Discovery 3 battery?
All the symptoms you have described are low battery voltage related. Fully charge up the battery of your new rig and then booster charge it once every 6 weeks in summer and once every 4 weeks in Winter. Running Swambo’s D3 like that and my BBRR Td6. No problems and starts on the 1st swing of the starter.

Why is my discovery battery making space invader sound?
Problem is that this ECU is always connected to the battery via fuse 11 (30A) (standing in front of the fuse box check the label on the cover or count from right to left). I always wondered why the ABS modulator was making space invader sounds like woy-woy-woy-woy but this is because the SLABS ECU powers the ABS Pump/modulator.
How long does the aulro discovery battery drain?
Pulled fuse 11 and bingo! drain reduced to 27 mA. You can even hear a soft click when a relay inside the SLABS ECU de-energizes. Just imagine. The 100 Ah battery can produce (in theory) 100 Amperes for one hour. A drain of 300 mAh means it will take 333 hours before the battery is dead.
What happens when you disconnect the battery in an RV?
It all boils down to this: When the disconnect is thrown, the only way things depending on 12 volts will work is when the RV is plugged into the shoreline. Once plugged in, the power converter or inverter/charger provides power even when the disconnect is thrown.
