White Rodgers Thermostat Heat Not Working

ERodgers thermostat not working? 3

The low battery message started flashing, so I replaced the battery and the screen went blank when I put the thermostat on the wall. Eventually, the temperature rises, but the controls do not work and the fan does not turn on until it turns on automatically. I tried a different battery and tried to reconfigure but nothing changed. Does anyone have a suggestion to fix this? Or find out what the problem is?

Try clearing the connections on the terminal where the battery is connected. The state runs on batteries, which you already know. The reason the fan runs on battery is that when the fan is turned on, it is mechanical and closes the loop. When the battery is installed and working, the battery power electronically controls the heating and cooling through the circuit board. So the clicking sound you hear.

You can also check the source control board and make sure there are no 3 amps. You could say that the 24V transformer that supplies power to the control board may be faulty.

If the terminal is not with Wipe, I suspect the stats are bad and need to be replaced. You can change the thermostat yourself. Don't shop at Walmart, it's rubbish!

All you need is a powerful battery that produces gas and electricity.

Clearing connection connections works for me. The metal connector has some green dirt from the old battery. When I cleaned it (slightly damp Qtip) it worked like a charm.

Where is the battery in the thermostat?
