Herman, the 8.1 L engine is an all electronic system. No points or rotor on the engine, but there is a large in line fuel filter, but checking the fuel pressure is one of the first tests to run. Hope that the OP comes back to read our thoughts and fill in a few gapes. The coils on my 8.1 L are still OEM.
