What does it mean when there is no power to ignition switch?
Start batteries are good. Power is present at the ON/Off switch to the Patio Awning. The electric step will not retract when retract switch is activated with door open or closed. With the key engaged to start the drive engine or in ACC mode nothing happens. No dash lights or instruments are powered up. Any ideas?
Where is the power to ignition switch located?
The ignition switch just provided the power to close the solenoid. It will likely be in the forward electrical area. One large lug has 12+ VDC all the time from the chassis battery. The other large lug should be hot/same voltage only when the ignition switch is ON. There will be either one or two small wires/terminals as well.
