Volumetric Displays
3D screens create three-dimensional visual representations of objects with a nearly spherical 360-degree viewing angle, with the image changing as the viewer moves. Real volumetric screens fall into two categories: swipe screens and static volumetric screens. Scanned screens use the constancy of human vision to mimic 3D images from rapidly projected 2D slices. Static volumetric displays do not use large moving parts to display images, but instead rely on the 3D volume of active elements (volumetric image elements or voxels) that change color (or transparency) to display a solid variant .
