Rim or wheel toner is often associated with racing.

The main difference between these and real tires is the weight. Toner rings are sometimes light, but not always.

People often buy them because they look cooler than real tires. And usually the price is a package compared to standard tires.

Race drivers bought it because of the weight gain in motorsport.

Think about it. Suppose you have an old real wheel and it weighs 10 pounds more than the new custom wheel. When you apply the inertial effect while driving, circular motion reverses this 10 pound difference, making it appear to be more than 17.5 pounds. It requires extra power, faster handling and of course longer real range. There is also a gyroscopic effect. There are many more benefits to design. The open wheel acts as an air filter to allow the box to breathe or cool around and above it. Low profile wheels and tires offer great benefits. Why are they so expensive? I don't think they are out of place. As Daniel said, Summit Racing is a cheap motorcycle. Also, try changing meetings to find what you want. Does it help performance? You can bet on it. Why do you think they have race cars?
There was no difference except in their appearance. They are usually very expensive and offer no functionality. They usually come in different sizes for a particular vehicle, so you may have tires for a vehicle that do not normally fit.
