Pbr5
PCl5. What are PBR5 and PI5? If not, why not?
No Br and I are too big to be 5 feet around Psprus (Br and I spokes are too big compared to size and P). You can get PBr5, but it's actually PBr4 + Br
Since Psprus has no freedom there, superposition of 5 bromine or iodine atoms is impossible. Furthermore, the atom size of Psprus is smaller than that of bromine and iodine, so the 1d 5 halogen atom Br or i cannot be combined in the Psprus atom.
But this is incorrect if PBr5 and PI5 are not present. But they exist in the forms of [PBr4] Br and [PI4] I.

PCl5. Are there PBr5 and PI5? If not, why not? 3
no. You can get PBr5, but it is actually PBr4 + Br (Psprus with 4 bromine charged + ve, as a counter with bromide) and when heated it completely separates into PBr3 and Br2.
Since Psprus has no freebies, the overlap of 5 bromine or iodine atoms is impossible. Furthermore, the atomic size of Psprus is smaller than that of bromine and iodine, so the atom of Psprus cannot have Br or i combined 1d 5 halogen atoms.
But if PBr5 and PI5 are not present then it is wrong. They exist, but in the forms [PBr4] Br and [PI4] I.
