The answers you need can be found in the Ultra 2 Operation Manual. If you do not have a copy, you can download it online. Check out the link below. I looked for error messages in the manual and error message 1 means there is a problem with the meter and you should contact customer service (manual 55).
Both answers are correct. (2i) = + / (i 1) The square of AND (i1) is (1 i). You can check it by squareting i1 and 1i and check if you get 2i in both cases. (i 1) 2 = (i 1) (i 1) = i 2 2i + 1 2 = i 2 2i + 1 = 1 2i + 1 = 2i (1 i) 2 = (1 i) ( 1 i) = 1 2 2i + i 2 = 1 2i + i 2 = 1 2i 1 = 2i
