My daughter has itching and I read that Maalox relieves her. Malox is available in fruit and mint fragrances. Should You Avoid Peppermint? There is no such thing as a soft version. General strength? Any advice from mothers or fathers who have used this treatment would be greatly appreciated.
updateI know that the idea is to give Malox the rash and not the baby. I'm just saying that mint or its scent can irritate the itch. I have heard that it needs to be applied with a cotton ball, but no further details.
I haven't tried Malox on the fibers, but I swear Triple Paste, which is very thick and works great! I had a son and he was taking antibiotics when he was born. However, everyone is telling you not to use maalox to treat rashes, you did not. It worked and our pediatrician recommended it. It used no flavor, but normal. It is mixed with A / D or Vaseline to cover the itch. The breakdown of malox produces acid and allows the skin to heal.
