ion - How To Discuss

Li-ion

(lithium ions). Some digital cameras come with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Lithium-ion batteries are lighter but more expensive than rechargeable NiMH or NiCd (NiCad) batteries. The advantage is that lithium batteries can also be charged regardless of their discharge state, they are lighter and hold their charge much better at lower temperatures than conventional batteries.
