Can a lip seal be set over a used shaft?
If you have a used shaft, it likely has developed a wear ring where the old lip seal was placed. You should never set the contact patch to a previous contact point. If this is unavoidable, there are products that you can slip over the shaft to help with the damaged surfaces. This is usually quicker and more cost effective than replacing a shaft.
Why is my fifth wheel slide not sealing?
When troubleshooting a leak along one wall of the slide in our fifth wheel, I discovered the top flap seal was not creating a tight seam along the roof. A gap of nearly 1″ was allowing rainwater to penetrate the inner seal and run down the wall inside our RV. OK, step one accomplished. But why wasn’t the flap sealing properly?

Can a slide out seal be raised or lowered?
The RV slide out seal can be brought in or out and raised or lowered depending on which way you tighten or loosen the nuts and bolts on the slide room’s hydraulic arms. How does slide out seal work on RV?
All RVs, whether motorhomes or fifth wheels, travel unique paths and terrain, so you’ll likely find that your RV slide room develops pressure spots that are different from those of another RV owner.
Can you put a slide on under door seal?
Remove the old bottom seal and slide this one on. It will not fit over the old/original seal. You may need to get a small block of wood and hammer the new seal in place because it fits very tight. But, it is an excellent product once in place. Can I cut to fit?
