I use them cheaply because they taste better than EverClear. I used the EverClear BTF and it worked. Jello doesn't freeze, so it doesn't matter if the alcohol freezes. If you use the right amount of liquid, it will not be too liquid.

1/2 cup watermelon per
1/2 cup Ever Clear
1 cup water or juice
Mixed fruit jelly bag.
