Bernese Mountain Dog Blue Eyes
Black eyes on the Bernice Mountain Dog?!? ۔
We are adopting the Bernice Mountain Dog from the animal shelter. This is the sweetest thing, but the interesting thing here is that her eyes are black! I thought it was different and added characters, but I wonder what is common? I know strawberries have blue eyes, but I've never seen them on BMD. It should have been from someone (the same family said in return) it should have been 100% BMD. Does anyone know the genetics of this disease? Is this just an unusual feature that comes up all the time?
Thank you very much!
updateI don't think black eyes bring it back. Apparently, the family didn't have enough time for that. What I often see is the desire of a dog whose parents left him and he got a lot of work. He (Mac) is only 9 months old and I'm no longer :( Wow! But Pelli doesn't have much time!
We don't care if it's SW standard or really 100 DM DMO. I personally like that it has 2 different eye colors that make it unique.
We haven't finalized the adoption yet (we're still debating whether the 9-month BMD is right for our family), but you're sure it's right for you!
Blue eyes will be disqualified by AKC.
It can be 100% DMO, but it's the result of playback. It is genetic, which means that the eyes of the parents or close relatives of the parents are black. Congratulations to your dog !!
These issues may be blood BMD, but it is the result of a breed, no rebel will find a dog breed due to disqualification factors. Therefore, blue-eyed dogs (BMDs) will not be bred.
There may be blue eyes, misunderstood and will not win in color. I doubt the dog is quality, but he should be more friendly than anything! :)
This will not be a problem for him, it may mean that he is not as clean as the family left him who thought he was, but it is no less than a pleasant pet for you. Will :)
Sorry, that's all I can do for you. I don't like genetics, I'm just talking about experience. I played it for my contact with Shawl Bean and Pelly Shell Hutchlings from Bern to help her!
Best of all with your lovely Bernice dog, for example, you had a great year with your new friend.
Edit: I just noticed he's only 9 months old ... boy! Soon, yellow will be new in ■■■■ :)
Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like BT aint for me either. This is known as the Australian mix. It was true that Bernice had cleaner noses and longer legs than a pure burner. But they are sold as pure burns. This is a dog factory for you.
Little did I know that pure Burns sometimes have blue eyes. I'm not saying it's impossible, I haven't heard of it yet. But I'm not very familiar with the genes of burn race and I don't deal with it actively. Both the AKC and the Burns Bread Club mention this feature and call it a disqualification violation.
It is not uncommon to believe that a good one will sell while blue eyes is a creative mistake. Simply put, you want to inform through gvine. Learn to understand billboards, connect to Bern's mailing lists and newsletters, and let people understand what they're looking for. However, now you are not holding your breath.
Yes, it is possible, but it is a mistake. But what if you just want it as a companion dog? :) I like BMD.

This answer is usually for dogs, but it looks useful and has other links.
It can happen and has nothing to do with other health problems. I'm sure she's beautiful.
