Which fruit breakfast contains animal jelly? 3
I bought a Welch Fruit Sandwich and watched the jelly filling. Does anyone know if this is animal or vegetable gelatin?

Gelatin is made from collagen, which is mainly found in connective tissue and bones. It is known for its ability to form gels and semi-solids with its solution. The type of gelatin depends on the source. Many of these sources include bovine bones, beef skin, pork skins and dried bones. Cow skin is the least used source of gelatin, while ground bone is primarily used for photography or pharmaceuticals. Pigskin is the most common source of edible gelatin in North America. Type A gelatin is extracted from pig skin through a complex process that involves acid treatment, washing, sterilization, and so on. Because of the use of animals as a source of raw materials, gelatin should be restricted to those associated with animal by-products.
