Are there any recalls on Norcold gas refrigerators?
Due to a potential safety defect, Norcold has recalled the following smaller gas/electric refrigerator models, built from January 1987 through May 1995, listed below. If the serial number for your refrigerator model is within the specified range as listed below, the refrigerator’s gas valve needs to be remedied immediately.
Where is the high temperature safety switch on a Norcold refrigerator?
The inbound DC connections are labeled on the board and usually located at the bottom right hand side of the board. If there is no power at the board, look to the right of the power board. If you have a 1200 or 1210 you should have a high temperature safety switch (a small black board).
What kind of power does a Norcold gas absorption refrigerator use?
Norcold gas absorption refrigerators operate off of 12V DC power (battery power). The AC plug that you see in the back is only powering your AC Heater/s that will cool the refrigerator when running it on AC or Auto Mode. The 12V DC powers the rear power board, the front control board, and the interior light. What to check!
What does red light mean on Norcold refirgerator?
– That the AC/DC converter is operational (if applicable). Red, flashes on nine (9) times every five (5) seconds. The DC voltage to the refirgerator is too low to support cooling when operating on propane gas. – That the battery charging equipment of the vehicle is operational.
