Air Force Academy Summer Seminar

US Air Force Academy Candidate + Summer Seminar? 3

I am 17 years old and plan to apply to USAFA next year. I currently have a GPA of 3.5 in my class and a grade 48/188 weight. I have a busy schedule with two Nors locks. Next year, I plan to get two AP keys and some Nors keys. I am very athletic and I have won many sports awards. I am the captain of the football team and the treasurer of this year's junior class. I was active in CAP and I was appointed last spring and attended the Executive Summit for Sports. I am very determined and enthusiastic. I am ready to enter the gym and do the necessary work to succeed.

I have some questions:

1) What are my prospects now?

2) What can I do to increase my chances of joining USAFA?

3) I submitted my summer seminar application a week and a half ago. Four days ago, my application status changed to Candidate (your application is being verified). what is the meaning of this?

4) How long will it take me to find out if I was accepted to the Summer Seminar?

5) What are my chances of attending the summer seminar?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

update

Thanks for the info. I signed up for the SAT in March. I prepared it and intended to do it many times. My PSAT score is 56 in reading and 68 in math. But I ran out of time to study. I felt I needed to focus on my notes. I was ready to train for the fitness test and got a very high score. Thank you for your help.

I have just been accepted to a summer seminar and I also want to go to the gym.

you are so pretty. Don't listen to people who say you should have too much GPA and too much SAT / ACT and everything else that seems impossible.

I don't have much GPA overall: 3.2

I performed poorly in my sophomore year, earning a 2.8 GPA, but improved over the summer, reaching 3.9 and 3.8 in the first two quarters. I don't have 50 Nors or A.P. keys, but I do have one.

I played baseball in a high profile program in this country for 3 years, which could have helped my candidacy, but I don't play with them anymore and now I'm playing track so I don't have college papers Nor did I go to Tim? Captain.

Also, I'm not out of the student body like you, so it's good.

I have served the community a lot. I am very involved with my church and help my community in various activities.

I'm (American), so that might help.

If I had to give you advice, I would tell you to stop worrying. I was worried all this time and never thought I would get a chance. Just tell the truth in the app. They allow you to submit a good resume. Tell the truth, don't lie and try to make them. Let them know if you are having trouble ■■■■■■■■■■■■■ at school. Let me know if you have any problems with me. The resume is an opportunity to tell you. I did a lot of research in colleges and summer seminars and saw people trying to get in and they recorded all the achievements that blew me away and I thought I would never have a problem ... Besides, ' Sign up first in 2 days' is a line. I didn't even take SAT or ACT and I had to enter my PSAT score which was 56/52/58 ... not good.

Also, check with your liaison officer, because maybe that's what took me. I interviewed him on the phone and told him the truth. I don't know how to contact them because my school just emailed me because they saw me applying ... but stay in touch.

I applied online for 2 days (February 26) and was notified 4 days after I received it.

If you have further questions, please email me.

1) You drop your scores on PSAT / SAT / ACT, which can help you better guess where you are at the moment, but the weakest point I see is your GPA. Is. It's not small enough to push you away when everything else looks good, but it's smaller than I would like if I were you. The AP and Nors buttons look good, but if you get them and sacrifice a few more points in your GPA, you can cancel participation. If you are willing to do whatever it takes to keep them in their extra needs, you will have more power.

2) You've covered your previous GPA, but another area to try to work on is your PSAT / SAT / ACT score. I know you haven't posted them yet, but if they're not perfect, they can be easily improved. Get tested as often as possible without losing your mind or spending too much money. With a low GPA, a good score on standard tests can help get your app up and running again. You can also get training for CFA. You may already know what you will do with a regular exercise, but very few people practice throwing a basketball. There is nothing wrong with trying a few times to find out what is best for you. And lastly, check out your congressman's website to find out when the nomination deadline expires and if they need anything special. It would be very sad if you pursued your day today and felt that you only had one or two days to work together, or that it was already painful.

3) When signing up for a summer seminar, you sign up for the academy. Now that you have a lot of information, basically follow the song and create files when you get keyboard entries.

4) I've been there for over 10 years so I don't remember exactly when I got it.

5) Apart from attending for a long time, I have never been more involved in summer seminars. I imagine they use a lot of the same criteria as date pickers, but I can't say for sure. However, I was accepted to the Summer Seminar, but I did not get a USAFA interview on the first try. Instead, I went to high school for a year and then tried it successfully. So the criteria may be different or the size of the candidates may be different, maybe someone else has a better idea.
